A message from our Illustrious Potentate Sir Jerry Gruenbaum
Thank you for entrusting me to serve Pyramid Shriners as your Potentate for 2020. I am humbled by the faith and confidence you have placed in me. Serving our Temple and Freemasonry is my passion and I will faithfully carry out those duties throughout the coming year.
I am excited for what this year will bring to Pyramid Shriners. We have an outstanding officers line who bring great energy and enthusiasm to their positions. I am looking forward to a terrific year which should be both fun and educational.
I challenge each Noble of Pyramid Shriners to evaluate what being a Shriner, and a member of Pyramid Shriner means to you. We join for different reasons – some of us for fellowship and others for a sense of belonging. What we all have in common is our belief in the Supreme Architect and a commitment to each other. Remember, don’t be a stranger. If you need transportation to or from our meetings, please contact me and I will arrange it for you. We are a brotherhood of friends and brothers and our cable-tows should never be too short to provide help or assistance to a Nobles in need.
Respectfully and Fraternally,
Illustrious Jerry Gruenbaum
Shriners believe in God and that he created man to serve his purpose, among which is service to others in his name.
We believe that care for the less fortunate, especially children who suffer from burns and crippling diseases, is our institutional calling. We are patriots, each willing to serve his country with fidelity and courage. We cherish independence under law and freedom with responsibility. We honor family. We respect our parents, wives and children. We should instill in our children the tenets of this creed and the heritage from which it emanates. As individuals we pledge ourselves to integrity, virtue and nobility of character. Our intentions will be honorable, our relations will be trustworthy and our spirits forgiving of each other. As brothers we offer each other fraternal affection and respect. Together we will support each other in adherence to this creed, so that we and our communities will be the better because of our fraternity and it's principles. As Shriners we look beyond ourselves to serve the needs of others, especially children who cannot help themselves. We believe Shriners Hospitals to be the world's greatest philanthropy, and we covenant with each other to support it's " temples of mercy" with spirit, time, talent and means.
